We wanted to explore the Japanese concept of “wabi-sabi, “
While “wabi” refers to the beauty found in asymmetric and unbalanced items, “sabi” describes the beauty of aging and celebrates the impermanence of life through the passage of time.
Richard Powell in his book, ‘Wabi Sabi Simple’ explains 3 simple realities:
“Nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect.”
The bowls have a darker glaze on top that shimmers with etheric golds as the lights passes over whilst underneath a speckled cream supports the foundation.
