How to Use Palo Santo

A Worldly Aromas London Ritual

At Worldly Aromas London, scent is a journey — one that connects place, presence, and intention. Palo Santo, meaning “Holy Wood”, has long been treasured for its warm, grounding aroma and its ability to reset both space and spirit. When used mindfully, it becomes a quiet ritual of calm and clarity.

What You’ll Need

  • A Worldly Aromas London Palo Santo stick

  • A match or lighter

  • A heat-resistant dish or bowl

The Ritual

1. Begin With Intention

Before lighting your Palo Santo, pause for a moment. Set an intention — whether it’s to cleanse your space, invite calm, or ground your energy. At Worldly Aromas London, we believe fragrance is most powerful when paired with presence.

2. Light the Palo Santo

Hold the stick at a slight angle and light the tip. Allow it to burn for around 20–30 seconds.

3. Release the Flame

Gently blow out the flame, allowing the wood to smoulder and release its soft, woody, citrus-infused aroma.

4. Cleanse Your Space

Move the Palo Santo slowly through your space, guiding the smoke into corners, doorways, or around yourself. Let the aroma settle naturally, refreshing the atmosphere without overpowering it.

5. Let It Rest

Place the stick in a heat-resistant bowl and allow it to extinguish on its own. Palo Santo can be relit multiple times, making each stick a lasting companion in your rituals.

When to Use Palo Santo

  • To begin or end your day with intention

  • During meditation, yoga, or journaling

  • When welcoming new energy into your home

  • After a long day, to restore balance

  • As part of a weekly reset ritual

A Note on Mindful Use

Our Palo Santo is chosen with care and respect for its origins. We encourage using it thoughtfully — not as a habit, but as a moment of stillness and connection.

A Worldly Experience

At Worldly Aromas London, Palo Santo is more than a fragrance. It is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect — to yourself, your space, and the world beyond it.
